This workshop is designed to teach people in a tutorial/workshop format how to plan and conduct a performance test.  Also covered are performance testing of SOA and cloud-based applications. This course teaches the unique considerations for testing Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAs). Now with a new module on Testing REST Services! Because of the focus on support of the business or organization, the emphasis in this course is placed on business-oriented black-box and gray-box testing, although other views of testing are also covered, such as integration and interoperability testing, security testing and performance testing. This course contains 6.3 hours of recorded narration and over 4 hours of recommended exercises. "COTS" is a term used to describe "commercial off-the-shelf" software. This approach is becoming more popular for solving mission and business objectives because the development effort is performed by the vendor of the product instead of a customer's internal staff. However, the customer and users of the product have a huge responsibility to ensure that the application will work correctly in the operational environment after it is integrated. This course takes about 8 hours to complete, including exercises. The narrated slide shows total over 5 hours.
